Dermatology
We are pleased to announce another specialty will be added to our practice. In June, 2011 we will welcome Dr. Beth Adams, board certified in Dermatology, who will treat patients at our Buffalo Grove office. She specializes in both general and surgical dermatology.
Dr. Adams graduated with honors from the University of Chicago, earning her Bachelor of Arts degree with a specialization in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Before entering medical school, she worked as a laboratory teaching coordinator at the University of Chicago, Division of Biological Sciences. She then graduated from the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in 2005. While in medical school, she served as the coordinator for a medical student volunteer program at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
She completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Evanston Hospital, and completed her Dermatology residency at Henry Ford Health System, Detroit, in 2009. During her residency she taught fellow residents and medical students, and was chosen to speak at the Michigan Dermatological Society meeting.
Dr. Adams has been in clinical practice since 2009 at Goldin Skin Dermatology & Dermatologic Surgery in Skokie, IL.
She has published several dermatology articles and presentations. Dr. Adams is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, Chicago Dermatological Society, Great Lakes Dermatological Society, and the American Medical Association.
On a personal note, while an undergraduate, Dr. Adams was a member of the University Theater community, participating in the “Off Off Campus” improvisational comedy troupe for four years as a performer and director. During medical school, she spent her free time playing on a coed ice hockey team with several other medical students.
